I returned to work again with the students of first grade, actually I had to teach three lessons but the truth is that unfortunately I could not because there was a national test, so at least I could give a lesson. It was again about the 4th unit: Daily life


I used this wall-chart in order to explain the activities that are related to a daily routine but using percentages because they catch easily the idea..
Then we followed working with a text that introduced the main topic: frequency adverbs. So, it was easy to do another activity that reinforced their learning.




The worksheet was easy to understand for students, it was basic because they just had to organize the activity and also I ask them to work with a partner in order to ask them about their daily routine. At the end, they share with the rest of the class their short dialogues.

Escuela Secundaria Técnica 30

I return to teach again in this school because I was wondering about the learning of the students, specifically if I did it correctly. So, I had to teach three lessons about unit: 4 Daily life.
  So I use some material that could be useful, actually it was an interesting tool that I made in order to maintain the attention of the students.

I used this wall-chart in order to explain the activities that are related to a daily routine but at the very beginning, I ask to some ideas according to the pictures on the wall-chart, they were participating giving clues about the activities. Actually, I used this wall-chart as a reference to introduce the main topic.


Then, I used this table in order to explain the frequency adverbs, I choose to present with percentages because I noticed that they could remember easily, they can identify by the number an as soon as they got the idea they immediately say the correct frequency adverb. In fact, I used a cd player in order to reinforce the language and to focus in pronunciation.



Other activities were conversation, students were working in pairs in order to ask some questions about their daily activities and week routine. Evidently they could not pronounced correctly but they try to use the phrases.


 At the end we worked together in their textbook, in order to guess an unknown character and actually, they could remember and infering the daily activities of that character. In fact, I summarized the whole topic in this activity and the truth is that they learned appropriately.

Other exercises

I used more flahscards in the other lessons because it was a tool that help students to complement the activities that we were working in the Student's Book.



Writting Exercises
The students answered a worksheet includen in their Student's book, which was very useful because I could helped them to correct some mistakes that they presented in their text, obviusly I didn't told them that they were wrong I just said: Hey check this part, there's something strange. They immediately checked their text and correct by themselves. As soon as they finished they gave me their text.





Flashcards

I used some flashcards for present sports that are marked to use in the Student's book, so I show several flashcards of different adventure sports in order to recognize them for use it with the wallchart.





Wallchart

 I used this wallchart in order to explain the expressions about likes and dislikes. This wallchart helped me a lot because since I explain in the first lesson, they understood and even they use for other activities of my other lessons.

2° Practice Escuela Secundaria Técnica 30

My second practice was in the Escuela Secundaria Técnica 30. I was in observation for some days in the first grade but in two groups C and D,  I think that this experience was rewarding  because I could do a better practice than the last one. Actually the idea of follow the use of the book and the use of the notebook was good because is a great tool for  teachers and obviusly for students too.
This was a quite different practice, first of all there were many students around 50, second I had to give three different lessons in more days and finally the relation with the Main Teacher was helpful for me because he gave me a final feedback, which it was worthy for further practices.

Evaluation Exercise

In this exercise they had to put in practice what they learned in the whole lesson. So, they had to write below each character, the structure for describe the clothes. Even they just had to follow the example. I couldn't finish this exercise but they understood when I explain the example, so they had to finish as a homework.


Reading Exercise

I used this exercise as a revies of the content that my partner presented, so I choose some students to do a role play of the reading, they were afraid of do mistakes but I helped them to pronounce some vocabulary. Then they had to put the words in the correct order, I helped them to do this because they really were confuse in the way that they have to create the sentence.

Here I'am providing some exercises for students, unfortunately because I didn't have enough time to complete the exercise, they have to finish this worksheet as a homework.

Practice Escuela Secundaria Mariano Matamoros

My first practice was in the Escuela Secundaria Mariano Matamoros, that it's located in the centre. I was in observation for some days in the first grade group B, it was rewarding being there because I could notice that the teacher has a wonderful role tha is develop a confident and enjoyable environment.
I also realize that it is too important know the student, as we know every student is different, so the techniques that I have to use to teach them are variable. As soon as I learn the names of each students of my class, I started to talk with them tryng to know more details and generate confidence.
It was a small group around 20 students, so I had to divide my lesson with my partner and obviusly distribute the exercises that we prepare before.
Unfortunately,  I started late because my partner finish later than we consider, so I had to do all my class quickly.
